RADIOHEAD star THOM YORKE has no intention of leaving the acclaimed band, but has completed a solo album after deciding to test himself by working alone. The CREEP frontman has always enjoyed the backing of guitarists JONNY GREENWOOD and ED O BRIEN, bassist COLIN GREENWOOD and drummer PHIL SELWAY, so he decided to go it alone on upcoming LP THE ERASER. He says, "I wanted to work on my own. I just wanted to see what it would be like." But he has told fans the record is definitely not a precursor to a split: "As you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so I want no crap about me being a traitor or splitting up."
