KAISER CHIEFS - WILSON: 'THE SHOW MUST GO ON'

Injured KAISER CHIEFS frontman RICKY WILSON is determined to honour his scheduled performance at British music extravaganza V festival this weekend (20+21AUG05), even if it means he hits the stage on crutches.
The I PREDICT A RIOT singer, famed for his onstage high jumps, flung himself into the air during a performance in Portugal (18AUG05) but landed awkwardly and was left in agony.
But despite his suffering, he will not be letting his fans down.
A spokesperson for the band says, "Ricky Wilson has torn his ankle ligaments jumping off a stage at Parades De Coura Festival, Portugal.
"It's a repeat of the injury Ricky suffered in March this year on the band's US dates around SXSW.
"All shows planned for this weekend, Lowlands, Pukkelpop and V Festival will go ahead, but Ricky will be less mobile than usual and won't be climbing any lighting rigs!!
"Any rumours of cancellations are not true - Kaiser Chiefs will perform as planned across this weekend."
