BLACK EYED PEAS - WILL.I.AM ONE WEEK ALBUM RULE
THE BLACK EYED PEAS star WILL.I.AM will only release solo albums if he is able to complete them in less than a week.
The WHERE IS THE LOVE? rapper intends to release his third solo project - following 2001's LOST CHANGE and 2003's MUST B 21 - this year (06).
But he will dump the idea if he can't record all of his songs in the allotted timescale.
He tells MTV.com, "The whole mind-set is if it takes longer than a week, don't put it out. If it's not done that day, throw it away and that was just it."
Will.I.Am is happy to record his solo material quickly because he has no intention of promoting it in the same way he does with his bandmates TABOO, APL.DE.AP and FERGIE.
He continues, "It's not for radio, it's not for video, it's just for us to go out and make music that says, 'Oh wow, rewind that part, you wanna hear that!' That kind of stuff."
