Movie star OWEN WILSON was so badly behaved as a schoolboy his parents had to send him to military school.

The STARSKY AND HUTCH hunk ran wild as a youngster, being expelled from school and flunking exams, so after years of being frustrated by his apathy his worried mum and dad enrolled him in the NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE in Roswell.

Owen explains, "I was completely indifferent to rules and school. It drove my parents crazy. Me and two mates stole the question paper for a maths exam.

"The headmaster then called me in and asked me to solve a problem. When I couldn't, he said, 'Well, you answered it in the exam.' He wanted me to name the other guys who had cheated with me.

"I refused to rat on them and was expelled. But when I went to military school I learned to follow rules there."

Fortunately for Owen he ended up at the University of Texas where he met director WES ANDERSON. The pair's cinematic collaborations launched both their Hollywood careers.
