Diva WHITNEY HOUSTON is facing troubled times with her music label - after the executive who signed her resigned from ARISTA RECORDS.

According to British celebrity magazine OK!, LIONEL RIDENOUR stepped down as President of Black Music after allegations he was to blame for the poor success of Houston's latest album JUST WHITNEY.

The 39-year-old singer received a $18 million (GBP12 million) lump sum in advances from Arista - who signed her for $90 million (GBP60 million) last year (02) - but her longplayer failed to make a mark on the charts.

There are now fears the I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY hitmaker could be dropped, unless she re-creates past successes.
