WHITE STRIPES - WHITE STRIPES DENY SPLIT REPORTS

Hot rock duo THE WHITE STRIPES are still going strong - despite reports the band plan to split after their next album.

The music scene has been awash with reports JACK and MEG WHITE are planning their demise after the former was quoted by a British magazine saying he only intended to make one more LP.

However, Jack counters, "It was actually MOJO magazine misquoting us, which is surprising because they are usually on the ball.

"I only said that the band isn't going to last forever and that maybe we'd just do a couple more albums and that would be it.

"It wasn't some fake retirement ploy c**p - I hate it when people do that."
