WESTWOOD WANTS TO DRESS MERKEL
Fashion designer DAME VIVIENNE WESTWOOD has offered to give new German chancellor ANGELA MERKEL a style makeover.
The 65-year-old punk stylist wants introduce some adventure into conservative Merkel's wardrobe.
She says, "If Mrs Merkel wants to wear Westwood, I can promise that I will design clothes for her that will make her look chic, refined and influential."
Westwood admits she had the greatest respect for former British Prime Minister MARGARET THATCHER - not for her work but for the way she dressed.
She adds, "For me Margaret Thatcher has always been one of the world's best-dressed people. Her politics were appalling, but her look gave her incredible presence."
