Italian actor BUD SPENCER will stand as a candidate for Prime Minister SILVIO BERLUSCONI's FORZA PARTY in a regional election in Rome.
The A FAREWELL TO ARMS veteran is keen to take up a new challenge at the age of 75 - and politics is the only mountain he has left to conquer.
Spencer says, "There are only three things I haven't been: a ballet dancer, a jockey and a politician. The first two are out of the question."
Spencer will go to the polls in April (05).
