KANYE WEST - WEST UNDERSTAND'S CRUISE'S COUCH JUMPING

Hip-hop star KANYE WEST has leapt to the defence of TOM CRUISE's infamous couch-jumping escapades, claiming he too would dance on the furniture if he was lucky enough to find love.

The rapper believes it's harder to find his soul mate now he's a celebrity and can't blame Cruise for wanting to tell the world about his love for fiancee KATIE HOLMES.

Cruise baffled viewers of THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW in May (05) when he leapt over the furniture and pounded the floor with his fist, shouting "I'm in love" and shaking a bewildered OPRAH WINFREY.

However, West understands Cruise's feelings, saying, "The super-bad b**ches are few and far between. Even for me, it's really hard to find someone.

"Why do you think Tom Cruise is jumping up on the couch? Because they're f**king hard to find, you know?

"For the past year, I had this girlfriend who really had this problem with being in the public eye. She couldn't take the limelight, so she wanted to stay out of it.

"I somewhat have a girl now, but it's not really set in stone."
