Rapper KANYE WEST has notched up an eighth week at the top of the US singles chart as his GOLD DIGGER hit continues to stave off the competition.

CHRIS BROWN's RUN IT! holds the number two spot for a second successive week, while BLACK EYED PEAS' MY HUMPS rises to three.

Rockers Nickelback's PHOTOGRAPH drops to four and YOUNG JEEZY's collaboration with AKON on SOUL SURVIVOR jumps up the chart to round out the top five.

The Hot 100's top debut is a big one for Madonna, as HUNG UP becomes her sixth tune to debut in the top 20 - at number 20. The tune is her 51st US chart hit.

Meanwhile, SHAKIRA's LA TORTURA has broken all records on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart - the tune's 21 non-consecutive weeks at the top is the longest-running number one in the history of the pop list.
