PAUL WELLER - WELLER: 'I COULD BE A GAY ICON'

British rocker PAUL WELLER is considering a career as a gay disco icon in a bid to strike out musically. The former frontman of THE JAM is keen to surprise his fans, but fears he has already covered almost every musical genre available to him. He says, "I always like to think I could do something more challenging. "I've gone through all kinds of music - I don't know if anything would be a real surprise now, unless I did some gay disco - I probably touched on a bit of that in THE STYLE COUNCIL."
