    • British actress RACHEL WEISZ is lacking confidence about her recent Academy Award nomination for her role in THE CONSTANT GARDENER.

    The modest star is nominated for the Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role Oscar, but fears contenders MICHELLE WILLIAMS, AMY ADAMS, CATHERINE KEENER and FRANCES McDORMAND are equally talented.

    She says, "I've seen all the films, and they're all great performances."

    The same role has already earned Weisz an Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role trophy at Sunday's (30JAN06) Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

    The Academy Award nominations were announced yesterday (31JAN06).
