MIRAMAX - WEINSTEIN GETS CBE HONOUR
MIRAMAX boss HARVEY WEINSTEIN is to be awarded a COMMANDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE (CBE) by QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
The film chief - who is behind such box office smashes as SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE and DIRTY PRETTY THINGS - was awarded the honour in recognition for his contribution to the British film industry.
Weinstein, who runs Miramax alongside brother BOB, will be presented in a ceremony in the next few months.
He enthuses, "My life and my career have been greatly influenced and enriched by great British filmmakers and authors, and so I am especially honoured and humbled to be receiving the CBE."
