VELVET REVOLVER - WEILAND'S NO DRUGS PROMISE

VELVET REVOLVER star SCOTT WEILAND has vowed to steer clear of drugs after witnessing the devastating effect his heroin addiction had on his marriage.

The troubled singer's second wife MARY FORSBERG filed for divorce in 2003, unable to cope with the self-destructive behaviour of her husband - which resulted in several arrests and trips to rehab.

However, Weiland is now hoping his new sober outlook will help him win back his wife and two children.

He says, "The prospect of losing my wife and my children changed everything. I don't think anymore about getting high.

"Right now, for the first time in my life, I'm finally happy."
