WEEZER - WEEZER HELP AILING VIOLINIST

Rockers WEEZER are to release a live track as a limited edition single to help a pal recovering from a hit-and-run accident.

Violinist PETRA HADEN was injured in a hit-and-run accident in 2000.

The group will release a live version of fans' favourite WHY BOTHER with all proceeds going to the musician.

Meanwhile, the quirky BUDDY HOLLY hitmakers have also recorded a cover of GREEN DAY's WORRY ROCK for a tribute album to the pop punk trio, A DIFFERENT SHADE OF GREEN.
