JENNIFER LOPEZ - WEDDING PLANNER DIRECTOR SUES J.LO

Latina lovely JENNIFER LOPEZ is "appalled" after hearing that her WEDDING PLANNER director ADAM SHANKMAN is suing her for breach of contract.

The dispute kicked off after Shankman and Lopez discussed a plan to cast her as tragic Spanish heroine CARMEN. Shankman claims in the $5 million (GBP3.33 million) suit that Lopez then took the idea to UNIVERSAL PICTURES behind his back.

A representative for the ENOUGH star says, "We have not seen the complaint, but I'm surprised that anyone would have the audacity to claim intellectual domain over a property as well known as 'Carmen'."

A source close to Lopez adds, "Jennifer gave Shankman his break. He was a choreographer. She single-handedly championed him and gave him the chance to direct The Wedding Planner. He's really ungrateful."
