SIGOURNEY WEAVER - WEAVER BEGS SCOTT TO WRITE ALIEN SEQUEL

SIGOURNEY WEAVER is desperate to reprise her signature role as tough warrior ELLEN RIPLEY and is disappointed director RIDLEY SCOTT has failed to write a fourth sequel in the ALIEN series.

The actress is desperate to subvert movie stereotypes by playing a middle-aged action heroine in the sci-fi sequel, but she refuses to pen the script herself.

She says, "I did have a couple of talks with RIDLEY SCOTT about going back to the original planet. I can certainly see a woman in her 50s kicking a*s in space.

"But I'm not so motivated that I'm going to sit around and write the plot myself. I'm proud of the ones I made. They seem to be holding up well, and people love them."
