BOB BAKER - WALLACE AND GROMIT WRITER'S HUMBLE SETTING

WALLACE + GROMIT writer BOB BAKER creates his Oscar-winning stories about the madcap inventor and his brainy dog in a humble garden shed. Baker, 67, wrote the script for WALLACE + GROMIT IN THE WRONG TROUSERS, WALLACE + GROMIT IN A CLOSE SHAVE and WALLACE + GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE RABBIT in 1993, 1995 and 2005 respectively. And despite enjoying the royalties coming in from the hugely-popular Oscar-winning movies, Baker prefers to write in quiet in his tiny backyard abode. Baker, who has written scripts for TV shows DOCTOR WHO and Z CARS, says, "Some writers might need glamorous locations, but all I need is my trusty shed and my old laptop computer. "It might not be particularly grand, but it does the job very well and I feel very comfortable writing there. It gives me the solitude I need away from the house."
