Singer RUFUS WAINWRIGHT restaged JUDY GARLAND's legendary 1961 concert at Carnegie Hall at the iconic New York venue last night (14JUN06). Lead by a 40-piece orchestra, the gay singer recreated the entire set list from the concert, the live double-album for which Garland earned two Grammy awards. Songs included classics, THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT, SAN FRANCISCO, PUTTIN' ON THE RITZ and OVER THE RAINBOW. He was joined onstage by his singer mother KATE MCGARRIGLE, his sister MARTHA and Garland's daughter LORNA LUFT, who joined him for a duet of AFTER YOU'VE GONE. The concert was filmed by Oscar-winning director SAM MENDES.
