Former SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM wants critics of her music to be warned - she's planning to hang around for a very long time.

The svelte singer, whose eponymous solo debut album flopped when it was released in 2001, has yet to achieve true success with her musical offerings.

But the British beauty insists she'll keep going until she achieves the same level of success in the charts as her sport hunk husband DAVID BECKHAM currently enjoys in soccer.

She says, "I'm very ambitious and that is something that I'm gonna be doing over the next couple of years.

"I don't wanna just sit back and think, 'Yeah, I'm lucky. We've got a lovely house, I'm lucky with the kids.' That's not enough for me. I wanna keep going and I wanna show people what I really can do, the same as David does."
