U2 - VERTIGO TAKES U2 TO NEW HEIGHTS AT ROADWORK AWARDS

U2 were the expected victors at last night's (26OCT05) Billboard Roadwork '05 Touring Awards after the band claimed a clutch of prizes for its VERTIGO trek.

The Irish supergroup claimed the Top Tour and Top Draw prizes and also took home the Top Boxscore honour for its June (05) shows at Croke Park in Dublin.

Country stars KENNY CHESNEY, GRETCHEN WILSON and UNCLE KRACKER's US tour was voted Best Tour Package, while Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival was hailed Best Festival Of The Year at the New York prize-giving.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN was also among the winners - his DEVILS + DUST tour claimed the Top Small Venue Tour award.

The DAVE MATTHEWS BAND received the Roadwork 2005 Humanitarian Award for the band's philanthropic efforts

RASCAL FLATTS were named Best Breakthrough Act.
