USHER - USHER TO PLAY FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS

R+B star USHER has announced plans to play a special show in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, to benefit victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Usher's Project Restart will take place on 9 October (05) at the city's Philips Arena, and he's calling on his high-profile friends to support him with performances at the event.

The YEAH! singer is also giving 5,000 free tickets to storms evacuees who have relocated to Georgia.

Usher plans to enlist a number of corporations to help find homes for 1,000 families who lost their residences in the hurricanes, reports MTV News.
