British fans walked out of GUNS N' ROSES' comeback London gig last night (08JUN06), because frontman AXL ROSE hit the stage over an hour behind schedule. The band's faithful followers queued for hours to see Rose - who is the only original member in a new-look line-up - but many lost patience and stormed out, fearing they would miss their trains home. The PARADISE CITY rocker didn't appear before fans until 10:45pm - well behind the slated 9:30pm start at the Hammersmith Apollo. CARL STROUD, who writes for British newspaper the Daily Star, says, "My expectations were high. They haven't played this venue for 19 years. "But you could feel the crowd getting hacked off as the 9.30pm stage time came and went without any explanation. "Hundreds of fans abandoned the show to get public transport home. Lots of people I spoke to had come from outside London and had no choice. "They got nothing for their effort." Guns N' Roses treated the remaining fans to a two-hour, hit-laden set which including four new tracks from upcoming album CHINESE DEMOCRACY.
