U2 - U2 STARS STAGE SURPRISE BEACH CONCERT

U2 stars BONO and THE EDGE wowed fans in Miami, Florida, yesterday (14NOV05) with an impromptu beach gig.

The Irish band's singer and guitarist entertained a crowd next to a lifeguard tower on South Beach Miami with a rendition of IN A LITTLE WHILE.

The band, who later played a gig at the city's American Airlines Arena, captured the moment on film for an upcoming project called A DAY IN THE LIFE OF EDGE.

A statement on U2's website reads: "Filming continued outside the American Airlines Arena before the show... where Edge led the crowd in a rousing version of Streets (WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME) and then, using a megaphone, a repeated chant of 'Bono, Bono, Bono'."
