CHLOE SEVIGNY - TRIPLE-JOINTED SEVIGNY'S MUSICAL DILEMMA

BOYS DON'T CRY star CHLOE SEVIGNY missed out on learning to play a musical instrument when she was a child because her triplejointed fingers made playing anything impossible.
The actress dreamed of playing the piano and the flute, but her joint problems left her in agony if she ever attempted to pick up an instrument.
She says, "I'm a big music fan and always have been since I was young. I tried to play an instrument when I was young but I have these fingers that are triple jointed and whenever I put pressure on them they bend backwards, which is kind of disgusting.
"So I could never play an instrument because it would be very painful."
Ironically, Sevigny plays a pianist in WOODY ALLEN's new movie MELINDA AND MELINDA and feared her lack of knowledge about the instrument would make her playing of it seem fake.
She adds, "I was terrified at faking the piano because I didn't know what piece I was faking and I didn't know what sort of motion it was. I'd never even heard the piece.
"I asked the producers to get me piano lessons, so at least I'd look like I knew what I was I doing, but it wasn't in the budget. I thought I was just going to come off terrible in the scene."
