JOHN TRAVOLTA - TRAVOLTA SUITS UP FOR FIREFIGHTER ROLE

JOHN TRAVOLTA is playing with fire in his latest movie role and he hopes his firefighting outfit in LADDER 49 will further spice things up in the bedroom too.

The movie hunk admits his lovemaking with wife KELLY PRESTON has been red hot since he lost a load of weight for his role in BASIC - and now he's hoping to add a little more heat by showing up in costume.

He says, "Kelly hasn't seen me in this turn-out yet but she will soon. Maybe I'll wear it home. She likes a man in uniform."

Travolta admits his new fitness regime helped him nail the part of a firefighter in the new film, which also stars JOAQUIN PHOENIX. He concedes if he wasn't in such good shape he would have had to pass on the movie - because it's so demanding.

Travolta trained with real firefighters before filming on the action thriller began in Baltimore, Maryland, earlier this month (APR03).
