RANDY TRAVIS - TRAVIS SLAMS FAKE ADMIRERS

Country music star RANDY TRAVIS is sick of receiving compliments about his music from people who do not understand the lyrics.

The NO PLACE LIKE HOME singer hates it when today's young stars talk to him about his hit songs from the 80s.

He moans, "(I heard) comments like, 'I grew up with your music.' I wanted to say, 'No, you didn't.'

"That's just such a weird thing to say. I meet so many people now that went through school back when STORMS OF LIFE and ALWAYS AND FOREVER were hits, those two albums and a couple that followed that.

"There were little kids, I'm talking four, five and six-year-old kids that just love that song. I don't think they had a clue about what the subject was really about."
