Hollywood hardman THE ROCK expects to see a plethora of action movies using first person-sequences following the release of DOOM, because it is an exhilarating experience for cinema-goers.

The former wrestler - real name DWAYNE JOHNSON - stars in the $90 million (GBP50 million) computer game adaptation, which features a revolutionary six-minute sequence shot in a first-person point of view.

And Johnson is convinced the influence of the gaming world over Hollywood can only increase in the future.

He says, "The first-person shooter sequence was written in there and I just thought , 'Wow!'

"It's an amazing scene. It's certainly going to change the way things are done in Hollywood."
