THE PIXIES - THE PIXIES TRIPLE VINYL RE-RELEASE
Comeback rockers THE PIXIES are snubbing the latest advances in music technology - to re-release their first three albums on heavyweight vinyl.
The FRANK BLACK-fronted group's 1987 LP COME ON PILGRIM, 1988's SURFER ROSA and 1989's DOOLITTLE will all enjoy renewed life on now-defunct 180-gram vinyl.
The Pixies - who reformed earlier this year (04) for a reunion tour - will include all the original artwork on the albums, with the exception of Doolittle, which will feature an insert featuring the lyrics.
Fans are now hoping the cult band will follow-up on the success of their comeback concerts by recording a new album.
