Hip-hop star THE GAME is set to make his movie debut, after landing a role as a vicious criminal boss in upcoming action thriller WAIST DEEP.

The movie will also feature singer-turned-actor TYRESE, who plays an ex-con who is trying to go straight for the sake of his young son, but is forced back into his old ways when the youngster is kidnapped in a carjacking.

The movie is currently in production in Los Angeles with VONDIE CURTIS HALL, who helmed MARIAH CAREY's critically-panned 2001 flop GLITTER, directing.
