THE CORRS - THE CORRS RECEIVE MBE HONOURS

The sibling members of Irish pop band THE CORRS have been named honourary Members of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of their outstanding music and charity contributions.

ANDREA, SHARON, CAROLINE and JIM CORR were thrilled with their awards and expressed amazement at their work being recognised by another country.

Violinist Sharon attended a ceremony at the British Ambassador's official residence in Irish capital city Dublin to accept the honour.

She says, "It is very surprising. When we were called we were given no hint what the call was about."
