THE BEATLES have been voted Britain's most iconic image, while soccer ace DAVID BECKHAM and his wife VICTORIA represent the worst of British.

Users of the internet search engine Seekport rated the Fab Four above their monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II, literary wizard HARRY POTTER and the BBC as the most recognised image of Britain.

Celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham were voted the worst British image, and also came a joint second with British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR and the Queen's consort PRINCE PHILIP to be named Britain's most embarrassing celebrity.
