LOVE ACTUALLY - SURPRISE PARTY REDUCES ATKINSON TO TEARS

LOVE ACTUALLY star ROWAN ATKINSON was reduced to tears by a surprise party arranged by his wife to mark his 50th birthday.

SUNETRA spent months planning the anniversary bash held at her husband's former Oxford University college in England, and invited 100 of his dearest friends including RICHARD CURTIS, STEPHEN FRY and BEN ELTON.

And Atkinson couldn't hold back his emotions when he entered the dining hall of Queen's College.

A guest recalls, "Rowan knew nothing about it. He thought his wife had arranged a nostalgic visit back to Oxford.

"He was stunned when they walked into the dining hall and there were all his closest friends. It had taken months of planning and was a huge success. He was greatly touched and movingly broke down as he thanked everyone for coming."
