STAR TREK - STEWART IGNORANT OF JACKSON

STAR TREK actor PATRICK STEWART had never heard of his new co-star, DAWSON CREEK heart-throb JOSHUA JACKSON before they began working together on the London stage.

The pair both appear in the West End production of A LIFE IN THE THEATRE, which started last night (03FEB05), but despite Jackson's fame with the teenage audience, the veteran actor had to ask around to find out who he was.

Stewart says, "If I'm honest with you, I'd never seen an episode of Dawson's Creek in my life. I didn't know who he was.

"When the idea of collaborating with him was touted around, I had to ask various friends and contacts if it was a good idea."
