Rocker BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN gave New Jersey fans a sneak preview of his upcoming DEVILS + DUST tour during the first of two rehearsal shows last night (21APR05).

But Springsteen made a point of informing the audience at Asbury Park's Paramount Theatre that they had to switch off all mobile phones before he would begin playing.

He explained, "I don't want to hear some stupid jingle in the middle of a song."

Springsteen will perform solo on the Devils + Dust tour beginning next week (ends29APR05). His 19th album, DEVILS + DUST, is scheduled for release on Tuesday (26APR06).

A second sold-out rehearsal show is scheduled for the same theatre tonight (22APR05).
