MELANIE C - SPORTY SLAMS POSH AND BECKS

Singer MELANIE C has hit out at her former SPICE GIRL bandmate VICTORIA BECKHAM for trying to crack America without using music.

Beckham and her soccer star husband DAVID have gone down a storm in America, appearing on chat-shows and red carpet events. POSH SPICE has even secured a modelling deal, promoting rapper JAY-Z's ROCAWEAR clothes line.

But the couple's approach has baffled once SPORTY SPICE Mel - who says she has her own plans to conquer the States with her music.

Mel, who released a new single - ON THE HORIZON - this week, says, "I'm a bit confused by it all really. She's such a huge star, she looks fabulous, and David's one of the best football players in the world. If that's a way to break America then good luck to her."
