BRITNEY SPEARS - SPEARS' KIND LETTER TO AGUILERA

BRITNEY SPEARS has written a letter to her chart rival CHRISTINA AGUILERA in a bid to end their long feud.

The two singers met as children while they were presenting the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB TV show, but became enemies when their singing careers took off in the late 90s.

After seeing Spears' engagement ring from her now-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE, Aguilera said, "It looks like she got it on QVC. I know Britney. She's not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way."

On Spears' official site, a statement says, "Britney would love to be close with Christina again.

"In fact, Britney recently wrote Christina a letter telling her how happy and beautiful Christina looks lately."
