SOAP STAR APPEARS IN COURT OVER RAPE CHARGE

LATEST: Former British soap actor CHRIS QUINTEN appeared in court today (24AUG05) charged with raping a woman outside a London nightclub in June (05).

The 48-year-old was ordered to appear for a plea hearing at England's Middlesex's Guildhall Crown Court on 7 December (05) by magistrates at London's Horseferry Road Court.

Quinten, former husband of American chat show host LEEZA GIBBONS, has been told to report to a police station three times a week and stay away from the alleged victim as part of his bail conditions.
