MARK WAHLBERG - SIMPSON'S DUKES BOOTED FROM TOP BY WAHLBERG'S BROTHERS

MARK WAHLBERG's new movie FOUR BROTHERS has booted JESSICA SIMPSON's THE DUKES OF HAZZARD from the top of the American box office.

The action film, which also stars ANDRE '3000' BENJAMIN, TYRESE and GARRETT HEDLUND, raked in an estimated $20.7 million (GBP11.5 million) during its opening weekend to take the number one spot.

The Dukes of Hazzard, which has received lukewarm reviews from critics, slipped to third place with earnings of $13 million (GBP7.2 million), behind KATE HUDSON's THE SKELETON KEY, which made $15.8 million (GBP8.7 million).

ROB SCHNEIDER's DEUCE BIGALOW: EUROPEAN GIGOLO earned a disappointing $9.4 million (GBP5.2 million), behind hit comedy WEDDING CRASHERS.
