WILLIAM SHATNER - SHATNER AND NIMOY DUPE ENTIRE TOWN
NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY |

WILLIAM SHATNER and LEONARD NIMOY fooled an entire American town into thinking they were making a sci-fi movie on their doorsteps.
The STAR TREK legends had the residents of Riverside, Iowa convinced that they were filming spoof film INVASION IOWA, but they were actually filming a reality television show.
American cable programme SPIKE TV sent the two veteran actors to the small town to film the reactions and behaviour of the starstruck locals.
They might have been duped, but Riverside residents received a $100,000 (GBP55,000) donation from Spike TV's producers as payment for their contribution to the show which will be broadcast early next year (05).
