SHAKIRA - SHAKIRA'S CAFFEINE RESISTANCE

SHAKIRA has to drink 20 cups of coffee whenever she needs to keep herself awake - because she's been drinking the beverage for so long, it barely has a effect on her.

The WHENEVER, WHEREVER singer admits that when she was growing up in her native Colombia, coffee was a part of her diet from a very early age, leaving her resistant to its rousing qualities.

She says, "In Colombia, from the time you can grab a cup, you start having coffee. They put it in the baby bottle sometimes.

"So sometimes it doesn't do anything to me. At four in the morning, if I want to keep working in the studio, I have to drink 20 cups to keep myself awake."
