SHAKIRA - SHAKIRA DENIES CHEATING FEARS

Colombian singer SHAKIRA has denied reports her new single DON'T BOTHER is about her fears fiance ANTONIO DE LA RUA will cheat on her, insisting she trusts him implicitly.

The singer, who accepted her lover's marriage proposal in 2001, insists she is simply empathising with a universal situation on the hit track.

She says, "I know people will assume that one's true, but it's not. All of these songs are very personal, because they are either my own past experiences, present experiences and future experiences I don't ever want to have.

"Don't Bother reflects a latent fear that lives in every woman's heart of being scorned for another woman who's taller, prettier or fitter."
