Comedy star Rob Schneider has attacked American movie critic Roger Ebert claiming he hates his films because he was unpopular in school.

The DEUCE BIGALOW: MALE GIGOLO actor has been plagued by bad reviews from the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES critic - and is convinced he knows why.

Schneider confronted Ebert on Howard Stern's radio show yesterday (24JUN04) and said, "I don't think he got laid a lot in high school."

Ebert, 62, fired back, "I graduated in 1960. In 1960, a lot of guys didn't get laid in high school."

Schneider replied, "I wish I could go back in time and get you laid. But in the meantime. My movies are funny. You totally slam me every time."

But Ebert had the last laugh, "I'm going to quote the late, great GENE SISKEL: The two things you can't fake are laughter and orgasm."
