SEX AND THE CITY star SARAH JESSICA PARKER has been voted as having gone through the best celebrity makeover.

The actress was never taken seriously as a sexy actress in her early career, often being cast as the friend of the pretty girl in films like FOOTLOOSE.

But the career-boosting change for Parker came when she altered her mousy brown frizzy hair in favour of a sleek, sophisticated new look, which was debuted in 1996's THE FIRST WIVES CLUB.

The wife of MATTHEW BRODERICK has since become one of the celebrity world's most glamorous women and is now worth an estimated $30 million (GBP18.7 million).

Her status puts at her the top of the poll by American magazine IN TOUCH, beating out such stars as JENNIFER ANISTON, BRITTANY MURPHY and Sex and the City co-star KIM CATTRALL.
