NELLY, KANYE WEST, LUDACRIS and SNOOP DOGG paid tribute to rap's pioneers as part of a VH1 TV special on Thursday night (22SEP05).
Nelly and CIARA paid tribute to LL COOL J, West and Ludacris teamed up with FAITH EVANS for a medley of Evans' late husband NOTORIOUS BIG's hits and Snoop joined ICE-T to run through the latter's hits.
The Hollywood show was filmed for the upcoming HIP-HOP HONOURS.
