Actor RANDY QUAID is to play ELVIS PRESLEY's mentor COLONEL TOM PARKER in a new TV miniseries about the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
Quaid is the first name to sign up for the project, which will star a newcomer in the lead role.
Bosses at American TV network CBS launched a nationwide search for an Elvis lookalike, who could pull off playing Presley, two months ago (SEP04).
