PRINCE - PRINCE: CALL ME PRINCE AGAIN

PRINCE has embraced his original stage name once again - and has written a new song declaring his renewed love for it.

The PURPLE RAIN singer, real name PRINCE ROGERS NELSON, caused much confusion in the 1990s, when he changed his moniker from Prince to the ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS PRINCE and THE ARTIST.

But now that he's restored his identity back to Prince, he's chosen to celebrate the occasion in song.

He says, "There's a new song on the new CD called CALL MY NAME and the song basically talks about the fact that no one had really said my name for a long time because I changed it.

"My friends respected my wishes and they didn't use the name Prince. They just called me 'friend' or 'sir' or something like that. It was interesting being called 'sir' for so long. So anyway, look for that track 'cause I think it's one of the best ones I've done."
