PRINCE CHARLES - PRINCE CHARLES AIDS MINNELLI CAREER RECOVERY

British royal PRINCE CHARLES is secretly leading LIZA MINNELLI's career recovery, by regularly telephoning her offering words of encouragement.

The pair met at the Royal Variety Show in London last year (DEC04) and Charles has since been keen to help the 58-year-old CABARET star re-kindle her musical talent.

And Minnelli is so grateful she's considering performing a private concert for him at Highgrove, his English country retreat.

She says, "He calls me all the time. He's a true gent and I'm truly thankful for his kindness and friendship.

"Once I am feeling swell I may just go over and sing for him at Highgrove again."
