NATALIE PORTMAN - PORTMAN SIGNS UP TO SKATE WITH DEAD DEMME

Actress NATALIE PORTMAN has joined a host of her peers to pay tribute to late movie maker TED DEMME - by skating with his ashes.

Portman joins DAVID ARQUETTE, COURTENEY COX, DON CHEADLE and CAMERON DIAZ among others who'll appear alongside Demme's urn in the film IN SEARCH OF TED DEMME.

Portman says, "We all sort of did things with his urn, so that was amusing - things that Teddy would like to see us doing with his ashes.

"Some of his friends played basketball with it. I went ice skating with it. He was so so cool. It's very very sad that he's gone."
