PHARRELL WILLIAMS - PHARRELL SUES REEBOK

Multi-talented hip-hop star PHARRELL WILLIAMS is suing sportswear giant REEBOK for $4 million (GBP2.1 million), accusing it of breach of contract.

The N*E*R*D frontman and NEPTUNES producer's clothing and footwear brand BBC (BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB) ICE CREAM filed a complaint in New York court before Christmas (DEC04), alleging Reebok failed to produce clothing to BBC's approval standards.

BBC's complaint alleges, "In January 2004, only a few months after the execution of the agreement, certain Reebok personnel began to acknowledge to BBC that Reebok could not adequately produce the full range of licensed products. In a manner consistent with the design and quality standards and specifications required by BBC.

"Reebok repeatedly assured BBC that the non-conforming and disapproved aspects of these samples would be corrected. Reebok, however, failed to correct these deficiencies."
